Could take 24 hours apparently. Won't know until next week.Originally Posted by Dawn_Run
For Euro2004 the rejections went out first - a colleague thought they had tickets for 3 days until they checked their junk mail folder.
I believe the odds in getting tickets are roughly 1 in 16 - probably not even that good for Ireland - assume we'll be 3rd after Germany and England in applications and probably higher than both per capita.
Draw kicked-off this morning at 09:00. Successful applicants will be notified via email on 22nd April (Next Friday)

It says this on that site Dawn_Run put up:
"A total of 812,000 tickets were available in the first sales phase: 665,000 individual tickets and 147,000 Team-Specific Tickets (TSTs)........
The original order figure ran to 12.3 million tickets and was thus reduced to 7 million individual tickets and 1.7 million TSTs."
147,000 TST's mean an avaerage of only 4593 TST's for each of the 32 qualifiers!!!! With the possible exception of Germany do you think we can presume its going to the be the same number of TST's available per qualifier?
Most of the individual tickets I reckon were bid for by Germans hoping to see a game at their local ground.
There are more TST's going on sale in phase 2, along with single tickets. In Phase 3 (which i think gets going in the last quarter of this year) you will be only able to order TST's, no single match tickets will be on sale from this date on. So it looks like they want to push TST's all the way. Should demand for TST's remain up they might allocate more per qualifier. Depends on the stadia aswell like. And with the likes of France and Switzerland not qualifying, that leaes more for us![]()

I think it is safe to assume that we will be way oversubscribed for TSTs and it is down to the luck of the draw.Originally Posted by Baker
Based on past experience there won't be another chance to buy TSTs for Germany, England and most importantly ourselves.Originally Posted by Dawn_Run
Probably the best chance of anyone wanting to go to the world cup is to buy a TST for the likes of Costa Rica or Ivory Coast which won't sellout.
Further sales now will be based on countries not taking up their allocations and TSTs not selling out.
Despite sharing a border with Germany I doubt if France or Switzerland would travel in huge numbers if they qualify. Switzerland brought 33 to Tel Aviv and according to my mates at the French game last month they didn't even bring half that. Obviously a lot more will travel to Germany but the Dutch, england and ourselves as well a sDenamrk if we all qualify would have far better support.
Illegal ticket plan uncovered
FRANKFURT, April 15 (Reuters) - Prospective 2006 World Cup fans will have a slightly better chance of success in Friday's ticket draw after organisers uncovered attempts to buy millions of tickets using automatic ordering.
The 812,000 tickets on offer in the first two-month sales window were massively oversubscribed, with more than a million people around the world placing orders for 12.3 million tickets.
Illegal orders for several million tickets were detected, however, and those were all weeded out before the draw was started by the click of a mouse at 0800 GMT on Friday.
Organisers said one scam operated from the United States used a computer ordering system to try to buy over two million tickets.
'We were able to detect an obvious attempt at manipulation,' said World Cup organising committee vice-president Horst R. Schmidt.
A total of 900,000 orders for 8.7 million tickets were included in Friday's draw.
Fans will discover on April 22 whether their applications have been successful.
Organisers will put a further 300,000 tickets on the market to fans during subsequent sales windows.
The Olympic Stadium in Munich is closing. It will not be used for the World Cup as Far as I know. The capacity of the new stadium is approximately 5,000 fewer than the existing stadium. Not good.
