    Bellamy to Celtic?

    http://scotlandtoday.scottishtv.co.u..._1&newsid=6541
Scotland Today can reveal that Craig Bellamy has signed for Celtic on loan until the end of the season. In other transfer news, Henri Camara has joined Southampton, while Blackburn Rovers have dropped their asking price for Barry Ferguson.

He is a welsh internationalist, a tempramental striker, and he is now a Celtic player. Craig Bellamy, who has fallen out of favour with Newcastle manager Graeme Souness, has turned down a move to Birmingham in favour of Celtic.

It is understood that Bellamy will earn around £45,000 a week at Celtic and although this is a loan deal until the end of the season, the Parkhead club have the option to purchase him for £5 million in the summer.

However, Henri Camar's days at Celtic are numbered. The striker, who has struggled at Parkhead, has signed for Southampton until the end of the season. Bobo Balde seems set to sign for Middlesbrough today - the defender did not train in Glasgow, and it is understood h is finalising his move to Borough. It has also emerged that Celtic are to make a third bid to lure Paul Hartley from Hearts.

Meanwhile, Ronald Waterreus completed his medical in Glasgow this morning. He will become Alex McLeish's fourth transfer window coup and Barry Ferguson is likely to become his fifth. Blackburn have dropped their asking price from £6 million to £5 million and now it is Rangers turn to play hardball, but the deal should go through later today.
    ------------------

As a Celtic fan, I couldn't care how good Bellamy is I'm not too happy about this. He's an idiot and has been at every club he's played for. I just hope he knows that he's not guaranteed first team football and better behave himself when asked to play out of postion. People underestimated the Hartson factor though. Actually, if he does start acting the eejit Hartson will sort him out.

Useful player but I'd hate to see him at Celtic.

Bellamy represents everything I hate about many of today's modern footballers. He's a thug wth no apparent sense of value, humility or just general decency. If he joins I won't be cheering him.

Not a big fan of Bellamy myself (in fact he's a bit of a ****!) but he is a decent player and MON's better attributes are dealing with players so it could work out.

As eirebhoy says he better not start acting up when asked to play out wide or from the subs bench.

However, if he's playing and wearing the Hoops I for one will be cheering him on

Brilliant move for Celtic, Martin wouldn't take him on board unless he knew he'd sort him out. Also I wonder by joining Celtic is there an element of pi55ing off Souness on Bellamy's part?
    j'accuse!

Bellamy doesn't want to make a long term decision on his career on such short notice so wants a loan deal. Souness won't loan him to another premiership team.

Henri Camara is gone to Southampton too. So they do need another striker

He's a big confidence player. Scored in 6 of Wolves last 7 premiership games AFAIR.

Hello Liam, hope you're well and studying hard.

On the Bellamy deal, the man's an arsehole of the first order and I'm really uneasy about him signing for Celtic. That said, on the football field at least, he's better than "Flash" Camara anyday. So one only hopes that it proves to be a decent piece of business by MON and the board. I can't help having my doubts though.

Good signing for Celtic in the short term anyway.
O'Neill will handle him, he's a good man manager and at this stage I reckon Bellamy will realise he has to put himself in the shop window, so there'll be no lack of effort.

He's a very pacey player, a good finisher and strong in possession. A bit of a headcase alright, but that hasn't hurt Hartson has it. He should excel for Celtic until the end of the season.

It turns out that as part of the deal we have first option on signing him, so there'll be no need for the shop window if i) he gets on well and ii) we qualify for next season's Champions League. Which, of course, is incumbent on us winning the SPHell.

    Interesting times alright...

I can't stand the fella at all but as long as he's wearing the Hoops and not stirring it he'll get my full backing.

Great bit of business by MON in getting rid of Camara and getting him in. I'm not his biggest fan at all but he is a lot better than that dud.

Unless your name is Lennox, I really don't think you do. But, since I'm a shareholder of "my" club, I do have the right to include myself as part of Celtic Football Club...

    Beat that then, smart arse.
