for a team on the slide Pike still have 3 trophies to fight for. There's a lot of clubs wouldn't mind being in that position.

I thought that comment came out of nowhere, myself.
Easiest route to the semi-finals, on paper, of the remaining MJC teams, as I pointed out in last week's column.
Pike will be fine, they always are. FAI this weekend, and 3 games in the league.
I'm going to go with
Carew 1-3 Fairview
Moyross 2-2 Aisling
Pike 5-0 Geraldines
Maybe Pike will win 6-0 now that they've gotten rid of that pesky John Boyle. Never wanted him anyway I'd say.
The better Boyle is at Carew
Pa Boyle
Anyone got this years fixtures
For the season

Born Offside: Change for change’s sake is never a good thing
Impressive article AOB,disappointing result for Balla ,very strong squad there this season with big expectations i would have thought.Great results for Kilmallock and Janesboro well done to both.
Cheers. Credit to the newspaper for printing it, as I felt it was a particularly opinionated piece.
Great to see the champions beginning to get their house in order too.
I might be wrong but in that 2012 fixture of Pike V Clonmel, they had played each other the previous week in the Munster Junior, Celtic winning 1-0. Maybe that's why Pike changed their system, having seen Celtic a week earlier. But I get your point re. Balla last Sunday, didn't see the game but looked an unfamiliar system to their norm.
Whats the story here then?according to your piece the champions previous manager is back running the show,so what is /was the present/previous occupent doing?...bloody confusing setup by the looks of it..good result for them last week, does,n erase the embarassment of the thrashing in the green earlier this season though ..that will linger for years a beating like that.
That is why they changed their system, yes. And I mentioned that MJC game in the piece. Doesn't mean the response to that result (i.e. a back three, out of the clear blue sky) made sense. It didn't. At all. And Pike paid the penalty on the day for that foolishness
That is an excellent question.
Carew Park probably going to beat Aisling Annacotty to make it into the last 8 of the Munster junior cup, can still finish strongly in the league, still in the Lawson and only beaten by most people's favourites in the FAI. Hardly a reason to question what the manager has been doing. He's been doing ok by anyone's standards. Regardless of what AOB's personal feelings are towards the man, that's not a terrible season or deserving of this ridiculous witch hunt.
Another confusing post from you there, TG. One wonders what exactly you think you're replying to at the best of times.
My respect for the achievements of the man pulling the strings at Carew Park has long been a matter of public of record. Far from questioning him, my column actually lauds what he's managed to achieve since returning to the dressing-room a short time ago. Read it again, sure.
As for your review of Carew's season-to-date, you weren't temporarily hacked by this man, were you?
