The current city of culture has become the site for Deportivo La Coruña's newest official peña (supporters' club). However this isn't the story of the usual football neo-colonialism, but that the club's secretary - a Galician called Xoán Manuel Paredes González (and registered base of the club) - resides in Corcaigh. The peña is based on an unofficial web-site for international fans of the club and whose lingua franca is English.
