    Upcoming Cork gigs

Lemon Jelly At The Savoy, Feb 25th. Tickets at the Bodega from the end of January.

For those of you who havent seen them before, they are well worth it. Good music, exvellent stage show. A hyper-active Orbital is how I would describe them.

    ---------------------------------

Tsunami Benefit at Half Moon Theatre, Cork
    Thurs 3rd Feb 2005

    featuring:
    Sumu
    Sangre Latino
    Pontious Pilate and the Naildrivers
    Downtown Crossing
    Wiggle
    Jim X Comet

tickets 10 euro on the night / doors 8pm

    ----------------------------------

THE CHALETS play a free gig in the Brog on Wed 2nd March.

I hear lots of good things about this lot.

    ----------------------------------

Not sure is this accurate, but I hear Lee Scratch Perry and The Mad Professor are due to play at The Savoy sometime in February as well.

Is there tickets available for Cyprus avenue gigs, or is it a case of "who are you kidding, it's only the weddoes" pay at the door?

AFAIK the Weddoes gig is sold out.
Tickets were €20 each, you could try ringing the Old Oak and asking them.

Cobwebs? Scandalous carry on, ordered the new album on cdwow yesterday, can't wait for the gig now.
I like Cyprus Avenue as a venue, saw the Trashcan Sinatras the other week, intimate is a word i'd use, should be packed for Gedgie and the lads.

Groove Armada are at The Savoy March 16th. Unfortunatley its only a DJ set, but should be good all the same.

    Tickets €22.50 from Ticketmaster.

saw lemonjelly last night, fcukin amazing so they were. their light show was probably the best i've ever seen. magic.

and while i was in the savoy noticed a poster for a dj set from DJ Ease, from Nightmares on Wax, on march 18th.. that should be quality... cant wait for that one.. pity it's on two days after groove armada tho so i'll be skint...

and cartoon are playing the savoy on the 11th...
Whatever it was I am sure it was better than my plan to get out of this by pretending to be mad. I mean, who would have noticed another madman around here?
