Heary lands Shels award
Title-winning captain Owen Heary has been named the Shelbourne Early & Baldwin Player of the Year award for 2004 at an awards ceremony in the Regency Hotel on Saturday night.
Heary was in imperious form throughout last season, skippering the Drumcondra side to its first back-to-back league crowns in its century-plus history and turning in some stunning displays at Champions League level in July and August.
