Hegarty unveiled as second-in-command
Former Derry City stalwart Paul Hegarty has returned to the club to take over as assistant manager to Stephen Kenny.
Hegarty stepped down from his post at the helm of Derry’s Irish League neighbours Institute before Christmas.
But his time out of management has lasted just a few short weeks, with Kenny moving quickly to offer the 37-year-old a route back into the game.

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
Glad to see him back in the Derry set up. He is very enthusiastic about the club and hopefully this will rub of on the players. Should be a good season this year for defs.
