Blues make McCarthy move
Striker Derek McCarthy has completed a return move to Limerick FC after failing to make a major impact in his single season at west coast rivals Galway United.
McCarthy was Limerick’s joint top scorer in 2003, netting 14 goals to help the Shannonsiders to a promotion play-off place.

i think his poor spell at Galway had a lot to do with the fact that he just couldnt make it onto the team. There was always about 5 or 6 fighting for the 2 places up front and come June when David O'Dowd and Damien Dupuy got together, there was very few times this partnership was split up for the rest of the season.....Originally Posted by sadloserkid

word has it that derek is really looking forward to his return home,have it from a good source that derek has predicted that he will score 25 goals this season.he never let us down in the past and i dont think he will let us down this year,at least he;s showing confidence.
