Ward makes Dundalk exit

Highly-rated striker David Ward has signed with Irish League Premier Division side Ards after being released from his contract at eircom League First Division side Dundalk.

Ward spent the bulk of last season on the sidelines following a serious knee injury sustained in the latter stages of the 2003 campaign.

He returned to action towards the end of 2004, but made just a handful of appearances for the Lilywhites.
