Match programmes

Just wondering what people think of the quality of match programmes so far this season? Dundalk seem to be leading the way again this year with Bohs, Cork City and Derry City not far behind from what I've seen. In the First Div Limerick and UCD making a great effort with their publications.

Galway United's is very good this year, loads of content.

Without the bias, I think Harps programme is up there with the best in the league. Always fantastic content in it and plenty of coverage of both teams on the night.

Don't buy them like I use to but Galway United's is one of the best I've seen, Wexford youths is very professionally put together and cork city is always a good effort to say the least. As for my own club, it's the worst in the league through no fault of the editor who puts in ridiculously long hours and effort, doesn't get the help he deserves.

I've always enjoyed the Harps programme. One of the best for coverage of the opposition.

In terms of content, most important criteria for me, there has been a good job done by the Galway committee. The only other one I have got this year is Limerick's for home game v Cobh, which at 4 euro was not good value I think.

I suppose they have to charge that much to cover the cost of printing it; and they probably have the largest print run in the First Division

By p4p, I mean considering the resources available. Dundalk are doing great and are reaping the benefits sponsor-wise. There's little appetite for full colour or bigger size, which is what separates Dundalk's' from Galway, if anything at all.

I believe e1 from each program sold goes towards the academy, it used to anyway. I dont bother with Limerick programs anymore e4 is a bit much!

There's no bad programmes in the PD that I've seen (haven't seen Wexford's yet). Lots of time and effort in them all

Agreed, I think even the modest efforts from Wexford and Longford and pretty decent- you can see lots of effort has gone into each despite a complete lack of funds and miniscule sales figures.

Dundalk's is far and away the best for coverage of the away team.
