Lansdowne Bhoys FC is an amateur team in Yonkers, NY mainly made up of Irish and Jamaican immigrants. This year they've made it to the Third Round of the US Open Cup, basically the US version of the FA Cup. The beat Pittsburgh Riverhounds in an upset in the Second round this week. Pittsburgh play in the USL league, probably about 3rd level after MLS and NASL. The play Rochester Rhinos(also USL) in the next round, win that and they play NY Red Bulls(MLS) in the fourth round.

Sadly the Bhoys lost 2-0 to Rochester on Wednesday so are knocked out of the US Open Cup.

Wasn't aware of these lads at all, thanks for putting this up. If you have the time and the inclination, put up the odd update on their progress.

A fair auld Finn Harps connection through them. Their manager Austin Friel is a former Harps player, and Pat McCann came from them to Harps a few years ago.
