People like that are what make the league great. A sad loss to UCD and the LOI.

charlie walker was way before my days of supporting Longford Town but I heard loads of great things about him and it says it all about his claim to fame about signing Paul McGrath when he was St Pats mgr, RIP Charlie.
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

Denis O'Neill died yesterday. Himself and his wife Kathleen have followed the Harps throughout the country and throughout the years no matter how things were going for the team. A real character who will be sadly missed.

was wondering why Karl Sheppard mentioned it on RTE after the game when I was watching earlier on and now it makes sense...

The death of Terry Murray, aged 89, at his Bedford home has been announced. He made 101 appearances with Dundalk in the late 40s and early 50s.
As well as earning 6 Caps with the League of Ireland while he was with Dundalk, he also received a full cap in 1953 while with Hull City. On his death—18th Oct 2017—he was believed to be the oldest and longest serving club player.

Maxi Mc Cann passed away today, 1960' s Rovers stalwart but a true gent.
Unusual in that LOI era to have a vaguely masculine surname, unlike Bunny Fulham,Rosie Henderson, Sheila D'Arcy.
    Are dheis de.
