RIP Dunny.
RIP Dunny shockingly young very sad
RIP Dunny
Awful news, so young.
RIP Dunny
Here on a technicality.
Met Dunny (Aidan) at many a Dundalk match down through the years.I traveled with him to the Setanta Cup match at Windsor Park 2011 a game he particularly enjoyed. He simply loved Dundalk FC and the LOI.
He will be sadly missed.
RIP Dunny
It's funny how familiar you become with forum usernames over the years, and how much of a jolt it is when the person behind it passes away, regardless of having never met or known them. RIP Dunny.

That really is shocking to hear. RIP Dunny

Very sad to hear about the passing of Des Kelly. Really was synonymous with Bohs over the years. RIP

Liam Tuohy died on Saturday Aug 13
http://www.dundalkfcwhoswho.com/player.php?id=277
The first ever full (non-caretaker) Irish senior manager to pass away. RIP.
His wiki article is interesting -
After that, he managed Trinity College for six years. At the same time as managing Ireland, Tuohy was also managing Shamrock Rovers and was working as an area sales manager for HB Ice Cream. He was now the father of six children and financial pressures forced him to give up the Ireland job which only paid £500 a year
Also forced through moving Irish international matches to Wednesdays (instead of Sundays) so that English League players could play, brought Brian Kerr into LoI football and, in his last job as Ireland U-19 manager, was pushed aside by Jack Charlton very early on in Charlton's reign.
As I said in the farewell thread, I wouldn't say Rasher was a boyhood hero (Frank O'Neill was the man!) but he was in the Rovers' team of the 1960s whom I had the pleasure of seeing win cup after cup. Really skillful and very hard. To coin a classic "he was a lot more deceptive than you might think he was".
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.
