    Only seen him couple of times with u-21s last season but he definitely impressed. In both semi & final IMO he overshaddowed Behan. City could do a lot worse than look to offer him fulltime contract before foreign club snap him up nopw he in Ireland squad shop window.

    Three actually, 2 UCD players too. Still a terribly small number at that age.

    in fairness, I imagine the fact that eL clubs are out of season has something to do with that lads- just like the U21 situation

    According to SoccerCentral.ie Shane replaced Reading's Jonathan Hayes for the final 20 minutes or so during Irelands 0-2 win over Italy in the second of two games.

    In aertel's match report he apparently hit the post with a diving header Billy Clarke of ipswich also on the score sheet good day for the typical home growns
