    Murphy initiates Blues talks

    Waterford United striker Daryl Murphy has initiated discussions with the club regarding a new improved contract at the RSC – although the player is still in line to travel to England in the coming weeks for a second attempt at making the grade at Ipswich Town.

    Murphy’s contract at Waterford expires at the end of the 2005 campaign next November.

    Well fair play to him. Goes to show he is not counting any chickens regarding the move to Ipswich, and if he does move he will be under contract too which means Waterford United are protected too.
