Word on the street is that Sean Connor has signed another player and the indications are that he is a very exciting play-maker operating from midfield who will push forward and score goals. I'm told this is Connors fourth signing and he's talking to three more players who have expressed great interest in joining us. Two of these guys have huge experience in the Eircom League.
Exciting times indeed for the reds, momentum is gathering and it's expected that all the new players will be unvailed as earily as next week when the new Rovers strip will also be unvailed in the Radisson Hotel.
So it's not all doom and gloom and this supporter is only too willing to report the good news as well as being negative towards the bad.
Great news, hopefully we can put together a decent squad this year and not have to rely on a team of kids. We have some great underage kids at the moment but its an absoulte waste of time putting them into team altogether and expecting them to do the biz against experienced players. With a couple of wise old heads and a few young lads with skill and pace hopefully we can finally get out of this disater of a league.
