Should be a brilliant occasion for not only Dundalk but the whole league.

    Stuey Byrne on Soccer Republic

"BATE were gone. At that stage they were mentally gone. Once they had gone two goals down, they needed to get two or three goals"

OK Stuey, thanks for that insight

Especially if Legia go a couple of goals down and need two or three goals.

Calling everybody in the Dundalk area!
Dundalk supporters travelled in great numbers to Tallaght Stadium last week to witness one of the greatest nights in the club’s history. Next Wednesday we are asking everybody from the town to travel in huge numbers to the Aviva. We want a repeat of the immense support we received from the local community in the FAI Cup Final last November.

Calling all football fans in Ireland!
We are also asking everybody in the Irish soccer community, all SSE Airtricity League fans and supporters of Martin O’Neill’s international side to give us your support for the night. We were delighted to see so many different jerseys from around the league. Martin O’Neill’s visit to the dressing room after the match to tell the players that the victory over BATE Borisov was “inspirational” and “as good a result as anything achieved in the summer” capped an incredible experience for everybody concerned.

    Help Us Make History!
It’s only the first leg, but we want you to be experience this night with us and help us create shockwaves around Europe by becoming the first Irish side to ever qualify for the group stages of the UEFA Champions League. It’s time for Irish football to take the next step and with your backing we can do it!

Fairplay on the tickets being more than reasonably priced. Can see a very big crowd at this one.

Very well priced, particularly the cheap tickets for kids. The only reason for the Category 1 tickets is to have this section for the UEFA freebies.
Hopefully there'll be a good turn out and at the least the lower tiers are all full.

Fantastic pricing for the game, only announced a while ago and I've already gotten a good few messages off people looking to head who wouldn't normally head to the LOI. If everyone can bring 5-10 mates sure we'll fill the place!

Yes it is Stu. Those were grim times, but it's actually around this time 10 years ago that things started to turn around for us - while we were on our way to the infamous 2006 non-promotion playoff win over Waterford and the circus that surrounded it - IAG, snazzy DVDs, Maxigate, etc. It did take us another 2 years to go up (and the manner in which that happened in the last minute in Tolka - while we were in Newbridge). Then there was the initial consolidation we had in the Premier Division and some of the clowns we had playing for us - and managing us.

When we stayed up by the skin of our teeth a few years ago it was a horrible season but Jesus it was still better than the first division. Then Kenny comes in and finally I'm not going to European games to watch various friend's clubs play or tagging along to a cup final as a neutral. It's my team being successful. I can't believe it has been such a long journey, but it's been an amazing decade since 2006 and to see it all build up to this point is just incredible. I wouldn't change a thing! :-)

Whoever is their Digital Marketing/publishing guy/girl they've done a great job. It's very good, easy on the eye, but also an impassioned plea that sticks out at the top.

I am back for the day on the 17th, hoping to drive up for this with another lad from home and fly out the next morning.

Going like hotcakes it seems both from Oriel and on ticketmaster. Blocks 106 & 107 East lower already sold out, I could only get 108 when I hopped on there, lads I know got 106 and 107. The queue is halfway down the carrick road by all accounts up at Oriel as well.

John Gill's Black and White Army!

Jesus, after reading that HS I'm getting rose tinted memories of the legend that is Paul Marney playing anywhere and everywhere, including a stint in goals; Thomas McGauley putting in the worst 21 minutes of football I've ever seen in my life and getting hooked and never playing for the club again and Jamie Duffy's dazzling spray tan and white teeth, Shaun Williams destroying the first division for half a season.. to name a few.

When you think of where we were 10 years ago to where we are now it's bats, as you said the whole IAG thing, DVD's, Maxi, Save our club, BETOP, Gerry going to the wall, McCaffrey rowing with fans at the dugout... Football eh?!

Did you select to "print your tickets"(i wasnt aware this would be possible)? that was the only option they gave me from Great Britain and now its saying I can't print them.

Ya, all west and east stand lower tickets at €30 euro were sold out, only the corners each one available(towards singing section).

107 isn't sold out. Just looking at tickets here for myself. Just managed to get myself 2 tickets for block 103.

Ya seems strange that they would do that before confirming that you can actually use paper tickets, i would have thought UEFA stipulated their own branded tickets printed from their own vendors.
