A good example of a club and a county council working well together. What's the length of the lease for Tallaght, and how much is the yearly rent? Do SDCC cover the full cost of maintenance and renovations to the structures?

SDCC cover all costs, as they own and operate it fully.

Time to be clear about all this.

APOEL FC of Nicosia - in tomorrow's draw - is not the same as Hapoel Be’ér Shéva of Israel (which may well play on the edge of the desert).

Nor is it to be confused with any of the other teams called "Hapoel" in Israel, among them: Hapoel Ashkelon, Hapoel Katamon Jerusalem, Hapoel Pétah-Tiqva, Hapoel Ramat Gan Giv'atayim, Hapoel Kfar-Saba, Hefa (Haifa), Hapoel Tel-Aviv-Yāfā (Tel Aviv) and Hapoel Ra'anana.

"Hapoel" in Hebrew is apparently capable of several meanings, which could indicate a trade union, socialist or works origin for the team/s in question, or just a group/club.

APOEL on the other hand is an acronym of its Greek name, "Athletic Football Club of Greeks of Nicosia".

In Nicosia at the moment of writing it is 37 degrees, in Beersheva it is 34. Toss for it.

Ah the nerves are getting to me now lads. The day has been dragging, just want to get in there now.. These guys don't travel well and based on last week's game, they aren't great at the back. Maguires pace will terrorize them but I also think if O'Sullivan was on they wouldn't be able to handle someone like him.. First 20minutes are critical. If we can just keep it tight and see how things are at that point and get at them from there.

Apparently, Genk like the look of Maguire

Cork 5/1 to progress to the next round. Very generous odds IMO.

"The report suggests that an offer of €150,000 is forthcoming from Sint-Truidense V.V. Managed by former Croatian international Ivan Lenko, the Limburg club in North-East Belgium could face opposition for the signature for the former West Ham United player from fellow Begium club K.R.C. Genk."

Is it not Ivan Leko? Anyway 150k seems a paultry figure, but if Cork go out tonight, it might happen. Still isn't this a good sign that players performing and teams competing with better European sides that finally other leagues might start to look at Irish players too.

Littlebray be careful BS will be onto you for straying offside, or out to the car park.

Best of luck to cork tonight, I know a Cork lad who is going to watch West ham(he is a season ticket holder) in the Olympic park instead of watching Cork City on TV And he is one of the biggest bandwagon jumpers I know :/

I know we are always harping on about Irish clubs getting sh1te transfer fees from foreign clubs but would 150,000 really be that bad of a deal considering he cost ye nothing?

Is he out on contract in November? If he is, €150k is not bad for a player who has struggled at quite a number of clubs.

Looking forward to watching the game tonight. Hopefully Cork perform well and get through. Just need to keep it tight for the first half and then look for the goal. They definitely have it in them to go through.

I need someone to explain this to me. Everyone is saying that Dundalk are the first loi side since Shels in 04 to reach last qualifying round of Champions League. What about Shamrock Rovers in 2011? How did they get in the Europa League group stages?
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

They lost in the CL 3rd round, and then went into a Europa playoff round against partizan. It was mentioned earlier

I dunno about you but for ages on Tuesday I thought (I remembered) that the Partizan game was 3rd QR and that Copenhagen came after that and then into the EL.

I was at a wedding the day of the Partizan match so it was all hazy. I remember watching text updates with a fellow Shels fan I had been inadvertently sat beside during dinner.

Thats exactly what I thought too, and I also thought that they lost 0-3 at home.

"Not Bad" - are you serious? €150k would be a fantastic fee for Maguire, no matter when his contract expires

Best of luck to Sean, Greg Bolger and all the Cork team tonight. I hope the fans relish a magnificent occasion.
