Feeling a little jealous of Cork, being able to stage their match on their own patch.

Something we have to address in Dundalk.

Yeah I'm sure we'd all love to envisage a day when our clubs can host every round in Europe in our own ground. Dundalk have a good recent record in tallaght, but of course nothing can compare to playing it in oriel. We will also have this problem should we progress.

I'd love to see both go through, most of us would, and maybe there is momentum building up in the run up to the games, however I just can't see it.

I think even one of the two going through would be a massive achievement
Bigger European teams seem to learn more and improve more from the first leg. BATE were comfortable in the second leg last year.

Dundalk and Cork will be doing well to see their games go into extra time. At least Dundalk have a Europa playoff consolation.

There's every chance that our game could sell out today.

What is the capacity for this game? 6,000, 7000?

Probably somewhere between 6,800 and 7,200.

Away tickets obviously will be held back for Genk fans.

Are many expected to travel? Presumably Cork have the usual away end reserved for them.

Sounds like they will have 3-400 coming over. You would assume so yes.

saw some Dundalk players arriving at Tallaght today for training but it was strange it looked like some players made their own way and then a few minutes later a team bus showed up. I didn't see who got off the bus but considering it arrived less than 20 minutes after I saw some Dundalk players walking in I doubt it was Bate because as far as I know the two teams get given different time frames to use the pitch so they dont clash and get the whole pitch. Would it be normal for teams to have some players on a bus and some make their own way when playing in Dublin since so many players are based there no matter who they play for?

Half the Dundalk squad live in the town, while the rest live in Dublin.

I'd say the Dundalk based players were on the bus while the Dublin based players made their own way to Tallaght. The entire squad trained in Taillight and then went to a hotel in Dublin where they will stay tonight.

Hopefully no regular match goers at Turners Cross don't miss out.

Agreed, but guarantee some regulars who buy their tickets on the gate each week will miss out. Not much that can be done for that. Hopefully we can convert a few newcomers into regulars with a strong performance.
