Class. That's great news for Cork City too I guess, as long as they don't do something crazy now and qualify themselves.

Watching that would really make you wonder how far First Division Champions League Cup Finalists 2016 Limerick FC would progress if in the champions league this year.

I'd say they basically need to knock Oriel and start again.

And that's without the pitch; don't know about that.

Not a hope of being ready for the Europa League.

Nah. This is bigger. I'll gladly say it. Now a 1-0 v Depor would have been different.

So they'll be playing in Lansdowne so.

Yup. The money means the Split win can't compare.

This is much bigger even than Rovers beating Partizan.

E6.3m. Plus gate receipts and merchandise, etc, etc.

And I can't see Dundalk getting no points - E120k per point extra. Could be seven or eight times what Rovers earned.

    Huge implications for the league.

Thanks folks, yeah I knew it was Europa League playoff round if they lost tonight, didn't know they were into Europa groups though, that's massive. I actually thought Rovers made it by beating Partizan, well I know technically they did. Can't remember that Copenhagen game at all.

No point doing a half-arsed rush job just to cover one season. You'd change little without planning permission, and that would take a minimum of 3mths if you had the architect's plans ready to submit tomorrow (which I doubt Dundalk have).

Oriel needs work, so do it properly from scratch over the next few years. Take the time to get it right, and to draw in further public and private capital for it.

Congratulations Dundalk! Powerful mighty stuff! Champions to be proud of!

**** the barstoolers with their barstools, pints, peanuts, crisps and tvs.

UEFA Champions League playoff rounds are given the full tv coverage. TV3 will be showing the Tuesday leg and RTE the Wednesday leg.

It already had full coverage. I hope they're no where near TV3 or RTÉ.

McGeady left out of Everton's 2016/17 squad.

Would he get in the Dundalk team?

It's true in the 2nd and 3rd round that an unseeded winner takes the seeding of the seeded loser but it stops there.
Dundalk will be unseeded in the play off draw.

They have the money and Everton would stump up some wages for a loan move. Would be class.

I'm pretty sure they have to be, as part of the rights package.

Proper order too. Stop those feckers showing Celtic or some other foreign team instead

APOEL and Plzeň are through and seeded.
Assuming Olympiakos, Salzburg and Celtic (the seeded teams) qualify, Dundalk will face one of those sides.

RTE will be bulling if they have to show Dundalk ahead of one of the English teams or Celtic. Hee hee.
Out for a spell, got neglected, lay on the bench unselected.
