No, they don't get that. For qualifiers you only get the money for qualifiers you play in.

They have guaranteed themselves €550k which is the €300k for QR2 and the €250k for not reaching CL group stages

I didn't have a huge amount of hope for our clubs coming in to this season. Now there is genuine reason for optimism. Everyone has a chance to progress, Pats and Dundalk even with a glimmer that at least one of them could win the following round as well. I think if that were to happen, we'd all take it and it'd be an incredibly successful year.

Fully aware that there's a long way to go, all of the above would be a miracle, I'd probably be happy enough even if it ended up with only Dundalk progressing past FH, and taking their chances in an EL playoff but especially for Dundalk, this is a huge opportunity to make massive strides in Europe and financially, the income and profile generated from losing the 4th round playoff game and going in to the Europa League groups would be far greater than even what Shamrock Rovers received.

    You sure? I have it as W2 D2 L0 - F5 A2, Really good record in fact. Played against Göteborg 1-0, Malmö 3-1, Djurgårdens 0-0 & Hammarby 1-1.
Correct, I left the Gothenburg one out.

That would be great. Think us and yourselves have given ourselves a great platform to progress and hopefully we both do it. Hoping for a big crowd for us too between 4.5 - 5k would be good

Three teams still in contention - may motivate fans to come out to more games - lets see what the the FAI and RTE will do?

I got an email from the FAI advertising Shamrock Rovers' Europa game. Nothing on any other game. Baffling why they'd choose one club and not the others.
"If you don't work harder I'll pull you off at halftime,"
“Crikey, at Manchester City all we get is an orange and a cup of tea,"

Because Rovers sent them a digital flyer and asked them to send it on to the mailing list.

Pats, on the other hand, didn't even bother making a graphic for their game.

    "Baffling" indeed.

Pats did their own posters. They had an ad in the Star and the posters were spread through the various social media channels.

Why would think they didn't do a graphic?

Fair enough, I had a look around and didn't see one but clearly didn't look hard enough.

A couple of hours to kick off FH v Dundalk, weather is unusually hot and balmy, perfect for football. In the sports pages this morning there was an article about Dundalk, the headline was 'Dundalk are a strong team up to Icelandic standards'
this was expressed as a statement of fact. As praise goes here, it doesn't get better than that. Strong team refers to viking values of fortitude, gumption, moral courage etc etc and to be regarded as up to the Icelandic standard is the gold. In between the words it's saying, forget about Glenavon, Bohs, Cork and Pats, this Dundalk team are the real deal and FH will have to dig deep.
I have to say I felt tingles of pride.

KR were poor last year, but we were awful. By all accounts, Dundalk were poor last week, but still should have won comfortably. However, they didn't. If Dundalk perform, I don't think FH will live with them. All will be revealed soon I'd suppose.

You have a very selective memory too. You do realise that our clubs have also knocked Icelandic clubs out, yeah!?

Why are our clubs grouped with Glenavon btw?

    Crap.

Wait to see the time wasting from their keeper. Every time there is a kick out he will walk away giving out to his defenders.
