    Away Jersey Euro 2016 ?

    Hi

Are we releasing a new away Jersey for the euro finals ? I see on the fai shop the only other jersey apart from the home one is the 3rd kit

Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.

or am I missing something here, apologies

Not 100% but I would guess that as the FAI shop is running down stock of the third jersey and the GK jersey that there is something on the way.

Chances are given it is a tournament that we will get something. Plus as we are the designated away team for the Italy match we will have to wear something.

don't take it as gospel, but FootballKit on twitter says this is the away kit for the Euros: https://twitter.com/Footbalkit/statu...09140363694081

That's now on "Run-out" aka Low Stock Availability on FAI Shop.

A sure fire sign we are replacing it. Plus no way we can wear that against Italy.

We will be forced to have a Light and Dark kit like all teams. Green being the dark kit.

That is a horrible jersey. Looks like a training jersey and reminds me of the Celtic FC away jersey circa 93/94.
Luminous never looks good in football kits. FACT!!!

The team have never worn it though? Has there ever been a jersey brought out before that was never actually used by the senior team?

That jersey has been out for a while, no? I think it's awful. Terrible colour-sceme. Black and luminous green?...

Am open to correction, but don't think we ever wore these.

personally i like the 3rd kit, think it's nice

i just don't think it's a suitable alternative away top and how we'd be allowed to wear this if our home jersey clashes is beyond me

therefore thought someone might have some info on us getting new top that i might have missed lol

Some of the nicest kits we've had have been the 3rd kits. We'd a sweet number around the 2002 world cup that I loved and lost.

    Something like this:

Also this one was lovely which was worn in the Millenium Stadium

Yeah that one worn at Millenium stadium was called Metal Gun Grey if I remember and only worn once. Not bad.

There was a black one for 2002 that was never worn I remember. Possibly what you were talking about but your first link not working

Just looking at the first two pictures on Danny's post... how did they have ended up now being worn being home jerseys (presumably)? Think Cork City robbed the last one.

Those were options in 1988 for us. Germany had the same template. We (thankfully) didn't take the options. 1990 was our greatest hour, jersey wise.

In other news, It seems we will be wearing a white shirt for our 2 "away" games at Euro 2016.
