    Mayo League 2016

With just a week till the new season kicks off, how do people see how different divisions span out. Has Ballinrobe,, Kilmore and Urlaur pulled out of the league and a number of clubs pulled out their B teams. So Super league and Premier divisions with 10 teams and League 1 and 2 with 6 teams.
The Premier division will probably be the most competitive of all, has Westport Utd. A lost some of their older players due to retirements. So good luck to clubs players managers, coaches and the supporters for the new season.

Any early predictions for any of the leagues? Hard to look past Westport for Super League again, they are so good over whole season... Snf and Partry to battle for premier league, ballyhaunis town for league one....

We beat Achill by 0 - 2 yesterday, they are very poor in defence, it could have been 3 or 4 in the first half.
    Ballyglass beat manulla.

Yes but telling you as it was last weekend, from what i heard that Partry should have beat Achil the week before that but could not score

With the break for the Euros only for a cup QF on Thurs. how do people see each division going,

    Super league

Ballina Town 4 points ahead with a game against Westport in hand, its a game that Westport need to get a point from, a Town win will see it hard for them to be caught. Celtic, Ballyglass and Manulla who have beat Town twice in the cup games are up there as well. At the bottom Conn Rangers would have to be favourites for the drop with Ballyheane and Glenhest also down there.

    Premier League

At the top Swinford, S & F and Killala at the top with Killala with a game in hand against Westport B, are vying for the top, with Achil just behind. Swinford and SF must be favourites for the top 2. At the bottom, it must be between Knock/Kiltimagh, Fahy and Westport are in danger of relegation.

    League 1

Very tight with Ballyhaunis, Conn Rangers B and Crossmolina in contention. Relegation must be between Castlebar Celtic B and Manulla B

    League 2
Bar disaster it must be Snugboro who have won all 7 games, Mulraney and Ballyglass B vying for 2nd.

Well anyone who is going to France for the Euros, enjoy and be safe, lets hope its a lot better for Ire. than in 012

The transfer window is in full swing in Mayo with Manulla raiding Conn Rangers. I'm sure Joe must have some replacement lined up or it cost cutting!!

Ha ha ha, I wouldn't really call it raiding Conn Rangers when he hasn't played for us in close to 10 weeks.....
    How's your club doing Ranger?
Round Tower it took a while to win a super League game, few big weeks coming up for us

Well Done to all the teams promoted as of now, Snugboro, Mullranny, Ballyhaunis, CrossMolina, Snf, Achill Rovers.
Disappointing to see our seniors relegated but I'm sure as all teams go down this season will be hoping to bounce straight back....
Westport must be heavy favourites to land another super league....
The premier league is a mental league, for 2 years Partry had made massive inroads and they were missing players throughout the season and after posing massive promotion pushes find themselves in League one next season.
It will be interesting to see in 2017 will the likes of Ballinrobe, Urlaur, kilmore, Ballina United rejoin the league and hopefully all the other teams can get players committing and that we don't lose any other teams...

The PL this was ome hell of a division, going into the last round, their was 4teams at the bottom fighting relegation, Other than Westport in 5th and Straide and Foxford as champions were the only teams with nothing to play for. Congrats to S&F on winning the league and Achil on the 2nd promotion. On our own season, great for long periiods but long term injuries to 5 or 6 players and the Euros we never got back. The value of the U 19 development squad is we had 4 of them playing next season,
Next season the PL will be as tough as this season with Conn Rangers and Erris or Ballyheane going down with Ballyhaunis and Crossmolina promoted, Questions is will Charlestown be in the ML next season

Premier League will be very tough next year. Two good teams coming up from League One.
Ballyhaunis had to get up this season as Champions or not. Promotion was the order of the day. They came close over the last few seasons losing out to Glenhest, Achill and Hibs. They have a good side and can hopefully do well this season and hold their own in the Premier. Ballyhaunis play Killala on Sunday in Milebush should be a good game. A good pitch to play on will help.

Yes the game on Sunday should be a very good entertaining game. Next season will be very interesting with 2 local derbies for us against Conn Rangers and Crosmolina, it will take something to be as tough and as competitive as it was this season.

    ballyhaunis 1 - 1 Killala
    (2 - 3) om penalties

Killala cam through 3 - 2 on penalties after a very good game, the game was about penos after the 2 goals in normal time came from the penalty spot, D. Gallagher saved 3 penalties for Killala who now meet Ballina Town B in the final on Nov. 6, hard luck Ballyhaunis.
