    Bohemians

Wexford will be pleased to finally get off the mark in points terms after a ding-dong battle in Dalymount Park. However, they won't be happy with the concession of another very late goal, this time a penalty, to ensure that there was only a share of the points. With Rocks Keenan, Shane Dunne and Peter Higgins still injured, Wexford began with the same XI as in previous league games with Graham, Craig, Lee, Gary, Ryan, Eric, Jonny, Hopper, Aidan and with Danny and Spot up front. Bohs began well and had a dangerous free and corner in the first minute. However, Youths scored with their first attack on seven minutes when Bohs lost the ball in their own defence, leaving Spot to run at Delaney in the Bohs goal where he got taken down for a peno. Yellow only for Delaney even though there seemed to be little cover. Danny sent Delaney the wrong way for 1-0 to the away side. However, Bohs quickly equalised when the Youths defence gave Mark Quigley a criminal amount of space to leave him with an easy header for 1-1. Two minutes later, Quigley was again given too much space and looked certain to score again before Lee Grace came in with a saving tackle. Bohs don't look the tallest side in the world whereas Wexford have a few giants in defence. It paid dividends on 20 minutes when a long throw by Craig McCabe allowed Hopper Kenny to win the easiest of second headers to put the Youths 2-1 up. Curtis Byrne for Bohs then had a good chance to put Bohs level again but pulled his shot a yard wide.

Yellow cards were then shown to Mark Quigley, Lee Grace and Lopes when just on half-time, Boh's Paddy Kavanagh took a fine snap-shot from beyond the angle of the 18 yard box which nestled in the far corner of the goal for 2-2. Boh's Ben Mohamed then started turning on the style in the second half as the Youth's defence couldn't get near him. Yellow cards soon followed for Craig McCabe and Gary Delaney. Around the hour mark, Danny Ledwith came on in place of Eric Molloy for the Youths. Bohs were then prevented from scoring by a couple of offside flags one of which resulted in Graham Doyle making a very good point-blank save. With ten minutes to go, Gary Delaney put the Youths ahead with more than a touch of interference on the Bohs keeper, but he got away with it and the ball broke to him kindly again for an easy header and 3-2 to the Youths. However, the Youths couldn't hold out as, on 88 minutes, a Youths defender was adjudged to have fouled when attempting to clear leaving Mark Quigley to put away the peno possibly off the post for 3-3. Late substitutions for the Youths were Craig Wall and Stephen Last.

Best for Wexford were Jonny Bonner who had another good game in midfield while Craig McCabe's long throws had the Bohs defence in trouble. Given Wexford's dominance in the air, it was disappointing that the delivery from placed set-pieces was generally poor with the ball rarely getting past the first defender and Shane Keegan needs to work on this. 3-3 at full-time.
