It was down to Cork and credit where's it's due they didn't let us play. A lot of Dundalk fans are hysterical now because we were forced to play long balls at times and Kilduff won nothing (and is LSL standard apparently!) Which I wouldn't expect him to against Bennett. Our first instinct is always play it on the ground but sometimes you just can't

Note on the ref..... holy fook, I was hoping for an improvement on last years lot. That was an abomination of reffing last night.

Padraig Sutton. I think most of us have given up complaining about referees, but that was a performance worthy only of disgust last night. Craig Rodden escaped a booking for grabbing hold of McNultys jersey and dragging him to the ground rugby style. Kevin McHugh got booked for questioning the decision.

That is one of the reasons Hoban suited us so well. If teams pressed high we always had the option of a long ball/long pass to Hoban. He won about half of those balls and then opposition were then out of position. Some Dundalk fans are disappointed with Kilduff's performance as he won none of those balls even the ones played into his feet.

I wish teams would stop scoring brilliant goals against us. We really should have been home and hosed at half time but second half Harps were the better team alright. Personally thought it was strange that they didn't want to play on as they had all the momentum.

That basically sums up his time with Pats

Ollie Horgans negativity is his only downside as manager. We probably would have went on to have another three or four chances before the end of the game had it gone on for the final 5 or 6 minutes such was our momentum.

I'd say his half-time team talks when you're a goal down are class.

    They're all bad Nigel.
We have a couple here from Cork who I wouldn't wish on anyone.
The worst of all are the assistants who can never see anything even if it happens right next to them.
We had Grant against Bohs last home game & he was quite decent.

He got a few goals pre season for you & I was wondering if he had found the form he showed in Cork a couple of seasons ago.
The one thing I would say is that he needs to play all the time. He's not really an impact player who you can bring off the bench.
He had one great chance against Cork in the Presidents Cup Final but by the time he got the ball under control McNulty was out on top of him. I put that down to the state of the pitch that day.

4 points from 2 Derbies and Dundalk and Rovers is not a bad start for Harps.
Irish by birth ,Harps by the grace of god.

Is it not a rule that a game must reach 90 minutes for a result to stand?

At least we've got a quick decision and a clear statement. Pretty unsatisfactory all round though.

March 24, Dundalk beat Pats 4 nil, there should be a record of this on foot.ie ,regardless of how this came about.
From what I could gather on the stream, it was a good (as in well deserved) 3 points for Dundalk.

Thats quite the statement result. I thought Dundalk would win but I had assumed it would be much tighter than this.
