2 Very goos keepers now on bored lads. I was raging that we let Fyffe go a few years back, he is an excellent keeper, and you only know to well, he's not a bad striker eitherOriginally Posted by sadloserkid

I've seen Mooney play a few times and to be honest I think Fyffe is better. That said I'd sooner have Mooney than John Healy as cover because while John's a smashing guy I've never been all that confident about him. Another point about Mooney is that he hasn't managed to hold a number one shirt for some time now. He didn't even make the bench with Cork because Dolan doesn't believe in sub keepers and he wasn't with Rovers long before they went out and signed Russell Payne so he can't have impressed them overmuch either. That said I hope we sign him but I wouldn't neccessarily push him straight in ahead of Jimmy and I wouldn't be surprised to see Jimmy walk if he does sign. Possibly to Galway if Mike Kerley does turn up there.
The ball is round and has many surprises.

Noel Mooney has signed for the club today. Story is at www.soccercentral.ie.
Limerick FC Manager Noel O’Connor:
“Noel Mooneys return to the club is a major boost for us for the season ahead. Noel indicated to me in our discussions that the main deciding factor in his decision to commit to Limerick was the obvious potential he sees for the future, and his desire to be a part of that. Coming from a seasoned campaigner that has won the FAI Cup and played in Europe, that is a major compliment indeed.”
Now will Jimmy and John stay?
If you don't like John 3:7...
There's always Limerick 37!
