    Potter

Potter starts in central midfield for Liverpool tonight. I've seen him play 3 or 4 times this season but they've all been on the right, should be interesting to see how he gets on in the centre.

Potter was very average, tried hard, but he had two headless chickens alongside him in Biscan't and John Welsh. When he got the ball in advanced positions he looked lively, but he did give the ball away a lot. I'd like to see him play in a midfield alongside Gerrard and Alonso, at least then he'd be able to express himself more. That team was too weak and inexperienced tonight, especially against a physical Championship side, so it's difficult to judge him really. He got no real time or space on the ball to be honest.

I'd say he has the potential to be a nice creative player. He's a bit yellow at the moment, needs to get more physical and brutish, but that can only come with experience.

Tyler kept pronouncing (annoyingly) Gary Cahill as Kay-Hill, same as Tim Cahill of Everton is pronounced. Is he Irish or what? Had a very good game, but was only up against Pongolle in a one-man attack. When Baros came on he started running rings around Burnley and he got in behind Cahill quite easily a few times. Had Baros started, Liverpool would have waltzed the game.

On loan from Villa, has played for Ingurlund at U20 level:

He probably pronounces his own name kay-hill. I'm sure the FAI looked him over.

Potter was fairly ineffective throughtout the game but it was a bad performance all round by liverpool and Burnley deserved to go through.Potter got in a nice position at the edge of the box at one stage in the second half but instead of playing Baros through he shot tamely wide.

Isn't he a right midfielder normally?

Nope, central. played on the right for the first team to allow for other players.

Potter was average I thought, but i have seen him for the U21s and looks good. I agree that it was hard to judge as LIverpool were terrible last night. Lee Roche played well for Burnley, Andy Gray commented on this towards the end of the game that he only made on mistake but other than that.
