    SWAI nominations announced



    The six nominees for the Soccer Writers' Association personality of 2004 have been announced, as have the nominations for goalkeeper of the year.
    Shelbourne have three employees up for the main award. The league's top scorer Jason Byrne, top defender Owen Heary and manager Pat Fenlon are all nominated.
    Cork City manager Pat Dolan and star player Kevin Doyle are also up for the award.

    Soccer Writers announce shortlist

    Soccer Writers announce shortlist


    The short lists for the 2005 eircom/Soccer Writers' Association of Ireland Personality of the Year and Goalkeeper of the Year Awards were announced today.

    League champions Shelbourne dominate the shortlists with three; Jason Byrne, Pat Fenlon and Owen Heary, on the Personality of the Year and 2004's Goalkeeper of the Year, Steve Williams, once again nominated in the goalkeeper category.
