A new airline (www.jet2.com) will start flying from cork to belfast intl from march 23rd, just in time for the cup.... prices are very good, 38euro return (inc taxes and stuff)... go to http://jet2.airkiosk.com/cgi-bin/air...=2&LFF&LANG=EN to find the cheapest price for you.

Thats not a bad price, its cheaper than a flight to dublin and its cheaper than the train to belfast.

You can bet that the size of the Cork support was a factor in timing the launch of this new service. Nothing like competition for seats to get the airline off to a good start.

Considering a return train to Dublin is €55, thats very reasonable. It will certainly encourage more traveling support from Cork, and from the North.

Jet2 are owned by an established UK airline called Channel Express and have been operating succesfully for a couple of years from Leeds Bradford. Nothing to do with the Irish run airline Jetmagic.
