    FAI Website

The following is an article from the FAI website. Fancy any of these players ?
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

With the majority of clubs less than a fortnight from returning to pre-season training in preparation for the 2005 season, managers have been busy in the transfer market over the last seven weeks.

With the transfer window opening on Friday morning, clubs will begin registering the players that they have signed over the last number of weeks while, for others, there will be a chance to start talking to players about to released from clubs abroad.

Clubs are different points in their preparations for the season at present with some, like League champions Shelbourne, having already signed five new players for the coming season; Glen Crowe, Bobby Ryan, Colin Hawkins, Richie Baker and Gary O’Neill.

Waterford United have also been busy in the transfer market snapping up UCD duo Willie Doyle and Sean Finn among others though no one has been busier than Dublin City manager Dermot Keely who has signed 13 new players for the forthcoming season.

Others, meanwhile, are still in talks with players with Shamrock Rovers’ manager Roddy Collins promising a number of signings before the start of the season, Bohemians’ boss Gareth Farrelly also planning to bolster his squad having lost nine players during the close season while Sligo Rovers manager Sean Connor will make three signings in the coming days.

At Limerick, new manager Noel O’Connor has insisted he will hit the ground running and is planning talks with the club’s current players over the new number of days while he is also talking to a number of players at other clubs while the Kilkenny City board will meet this weekend to discuss a replacement for outgoing manager Ger Bickerstaffe who resigned in November.

Also see that Conor O'Grady has been released by Derry City. I imagine Harps/Longford will be interested in him,but i wonder is he one of Sean Connor's " players with Premier division experience" ????...

I notice that Harps have parted company with Tom Mohan. Now he's a fine player and certainly would do a great job for us. He's also named in the Eircom League First Division eleven which speaks volumnes.
I also think Conor O' Grady would be the man to lead us out of the doldrums, I certainly hope that the club has the ambition to go get both these players.
