The best film I saw this year was Lost in Translation and the soundtrack is top drawer aswell!,well worth a look and a listen.
in no particular order
kill bill vol 2
hellboy
american splendor
shaun of the dead
the incredibles
dodgeball
the worst was sharktale by about 6 and a half miles
Whatever it was I am sure it was better than my plan to get out of this by pretending to be mad. I mean, who would have noticed another madman around here?
The best movie of 2004 by a country mile is Garden State.
Other noteable's:
Supersize Me
I'm Not Scared
Control Room
Motor Cycle Diaries
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind by far...
The ball is round and has many surprises.
It just goes to show how bad movies have got when some of the films mentioned above are regarded as 'films of the year'. With the exception of 'Return of the King', most of the other films mentioned are average at best, certainly when compared to films in years gone by. Even Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Scorsese are making crap films these days. I watch alot of movies, including Arthouse. I thought Lost in Translation was the biggest pile of ****e that I have seen in a long time. I've even watched it a second time, (maybe I was missing something?), and it was still ****e. An hour and a half of pain as far as I can see!
I have to agree with ya about Lost in Translation. It was pure sh!te.When it was over I just thought what the fcuk was all that bull, pointless crap.He didn't even get his bit off your one,or did he? I can't think about that tripe right now.Originally Posted by 4tothefloor

1. Best of Youth
2. Bubba Ho-Tep
3. The Fog of War (was released here in 2004)
4. The Bourne Supremacy
5. Touching the Void (saw in 2003 but is eligible for Oscars so I'll count it)
As for Eternal Sunshine, I thought it was good when I saw it but upon reflection I think it's a bloody awful movie.

Got in on DVD before Christmas though will definitely watch it on the big screen again.
1. Garden State
2. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind
3. Hero/House of flying daggers
4. The Fog of War
5. Lost in Translation
(6) Dodgeball, althought could be because I thought it'd be crap
Worst by far: Van Helsing
Cork City: Making 'Dream Team' seem realistic since 2007.
Which means it had to be released in 2003 to qualify; but I'm just being anal.Originally Posted by Neish

I liked all them, but I haven't seen as much this year
Ceci n'est pas une signature
1. Kill Bill
2. Shrek 2
3. Spiderman2
4. Fahrenheit 9/11
5. Phantom of The Opera (seriously).
Hope they're all 2005.
I think so. Many others to boot (The Missing).
A good year.
City definetly have the best bands playing at half-time.
O'Bama - "Eerah yeah, I'd say we can alright!"

Spiderman 2
Shrek 2
Bad Santa
Shark Tale
Garfield

Though Lost In Translation was complete cack to be honest. I think people are in love with the soundtrack more than the movie. The soundtrack is very good, the movie is boring. Scarlett is just a big pair of lips.
Also though Shaun of the Dead wasn't great.
Collateral was better than I expected.
