I heard a rumour before Christmas that the FAi were looking to sell United Park to the HSE and use the proceeds to build a 10,000 seater stadium with DKIT and upgrade a junior pitch in Drogheda. I discounted the rumour at the time.

Hasn't there been a similar rumour around the last few years? Something along the lines that DKIT were going to build something with the GAA but the county board is broke.

That wasn't a rumour. Both parties confirmed that they were interested in building a stadium. The GAA pulled out for a variety of reasons.
DKIT are still keen on building a stadium but need a partner that will bring in revenue to pay for the upkeep.
