Nah biys, christmas is the job. I've had Paul McCartney's "wonderful Christmastime" stuck in my head all day.
Whatever it was I am sure it was better than my plan to get out of this by pretending to be mad. I mean, who would have noticed another madman around here?

I prefer the buildup over here in the US where it doesnt really start until after Thanksgiving, the last Thursday in November. Over there it starts way too early and by the time December comes you're sick of it already.

    Santa is great.
    Christmas is great.
The build up starts in early November every year and every year people say the same thing, "it's too early", "it's getting earlier every year", "it's ruining christmas" etc etc.
However it's early December before the real build up starts. That's when people start putting up their christmans trees and you start to hear christmas songs everywhere.
This time next month, we will all hopefully be filled with festive cheer instead of this moaning crap!

Santa has a large sack and hangs around little kids. IMO he should be locked up.

Well said!! Christmas is a time for having a laugh, being with friends and family. Not for moaning about the "build up being too early", or that "its all too commercial"! Christmas is a great time, and personally i think most people get so freaked out around about now, because they realise how quick it all comes round. Working by oxford street, this is a great time of year. The lights, the atmosphere, its great! everyone should loosen up and enjoy it in my opinion, cos its all over soon enough!
