Latest Rumour on the off season rumour roundabout is that eventhough they will be in the First Division this year they are basically a corpse?
No players or manager?
Discuss.

As Mark Twain once said, or almost, 'Rumours of their death are greatly exaggerated'. Last seasons manager was holding out until certain issues were addressed. All those have now virtually been sorted, and it is reasonable to ass to assume he will be in charge again. Training begins next week. As for players. Buck knows, but am hearing it will be a 'VERY' young squad.

This is the best statement I've read in an awful long time. Not for the reasons intended mind you. The keyboard warriors reference cracked me up.

It may be true but they didn't have to start actually calling the Peter's officials incompetent and going on about keyboard warriors in an official statement. Funny as it is, they should be above that. If it was LTFC I'd expect (well hope actually..) that we'd just set out the timeline and let the facts speak for themselves.
"The statement was designed to cause maximum embarrassment notwithstanding that at the time of its publication or shortly prior thereto the events which are set out hereunder were in fact taking place in order to facilitate the game for St. Peter’s."
What a sentence.

That's a quite a sentence as well.and which has done nothing more than to fuel those keyboard warriors of social media who have not been gifted with the skills or attributes necessary to use same in a meaningful way.
I admire the statement for its sheer agression I have to say, even if I wouldn't do it if I were they. There'll be no friendlies between ATFC and St Peter's any time soon though I suspect they never got on anyway.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.
where in Athlone are St Peters based can I ask? I know ex Athlone town player Noel McGee is with them!
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
Right out on the edge of town, over on the west side.
