This might one of those things everyone knows - but just in case, they're called Noah cos the Ark found land in Armenia in the end (allegedly of course). So the Noah isn't just a random linguistic coincidence

(Or technically it traditionally landed on Mount Ararat, which is a national symbol of Armenia possibly in part because it's largely in Turkey, and they rather hate each other. So I'd say FC Noah is a surprisingly politically-charged name)

Had a look on Google maps and no part of that mountain is in Armenia. The very best they have in Armenia is a nice view of it. Interesting that they still deem it important enough to go naming a football team after it.

Several clubs - there's Ararat Yerevan too (who hammered Cork Celtic in the 74/75 European Cup), and also Ararat-Armenia. FC Urartu are named after an old Armenian kingdom which contained Ararat (vaguely comparable to how Dundalk's ground is called Oriel Park)

I think it was historically part of Armenia but they lost it in 1921, part of the aftermath of the Armenian Genocide, the fall of the Ottoman Empire and the establishment of the USSR

In a July Champions League early round qualifier between Armenian and Hungarian clubs Id be surprised if the standard was good

True but I wish O'Dowda was playing at a higher standard than what you might see in the Phoenix Park of a Sunday

    In the famed 2-2-2-2-2 formation.

He is one round away from playing in the Champions League, lads. Himself and Keane.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

Not saying there isn't tougher teams in the play off round, but I wouldn't dismiss Qarabag, they have a good record in European competition in recent years
All goals, yellow and red cards tweeted in real time on mastodon, BlueSky and facebook
