He must have a very strange dynamic with the manager there. He was being openly castigated last January for trying to get a move to Leeds. And last summer then he was in wranglings over a new contract. I can't but wonder if the relationship has frayed but, in that case, you'd imagine he would just angle again to move on.
I was 'vouching' for him as I've been subjected to his opinions away from here too. That sounds about right though, over two years would qualify as 'quite a while', no? I know he hasn't been a fan going back to the Moldova home game, at a minimum. He's been reluctant to praise his good moments (e.g. that same game, Poland away friendly), sighting the quality of opposition or lack of importance of the matches. He's maintained that he'll be found out in bigger games against better opposition.
He was also laying into O'Dowda on the previous page where I argued with him. His post is still there in my quote in my post, the next post below his deleted ones, but the original posts were deleted.
Because he clearly doubted the player in it, yet now you want him to prove he said something.
Did you delete it ?
I think as a moderator Tets is seeing this from a more global perspective. Ole, I agree with you that Johnson and O ' Dowda are possibly not getting along too well. He certainly has talent IMO.

Was impressed with O’Dowda’s performance yesterday against Fulham. Determined running, getting amongst it in the tackle, switched wings well, whipped in some good crosses & corners and looked powerful in full flight.
Still think this lad could be a big asset to us if he applies himself. Athletic lad, with a good touch and only 24 playing well in a team on the fringe of the play-offs. Wouldn’t mind seeing him converted into a Wing Back role as part of a 3-4-3 as potential cover to Stevens.
Seems to receive mixed opinion, however dare say his fall-out lasts in the minds. A move might give him a fresh start...

Third consecutive start for O'Dowda tonight, which will be cheering for Kenny, who clearly rates him.
Get's a good right up in the local press as well:
Callum O'Dowda - 8 Started in great fashion driving at the home side's defence and his early run set up Martin to cross to Wells to hit the bar after just 12 minutes. Worked a shot well on 30 minutes before his low cross led to a corner that Vyner should have done better on. Played a big role on city's second goal, keeping the move alive in the box. One of the architects of this crucial win for the Robins.

I watched him against Norwich, and there's a player there but doesn't seem have pulled everything together yet. He's not played enough matches over last year or so to have really pushed on. Glad to see he played well last night.
there is a doppelganger of this irish O'Dowda in Brighton a swiss-kosovo guy there, he looks like the irish and is a left wide mid, and moves and dribbles like Callum
Out with a hamstring injury for the foreseeable future: https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/...medium=twitter
"Callum's going to be out for a good number of weeks. There's a decision to be made with the specialist on how we approach the actual injury," said Holden in a phone call with Bristol Live on Thursday afternoon.
"But he's going to be out for about a couple of months, and maybe beyond. We'll have to see. Once we get the final decision from the specialist and the experts we'll decide how we proceed."
Really disappointing. He was becoming a key player in the City side and getting back to somewhere close to his best.
This is a big setback.
Boost for Kenny with the news that O'Dowda is back in training.

Seems to be playing left wing back for Bristol City. He is 26 now. Do people see him as an option at left wing back for us? Steven's seems to be struggling after his injury and is 31 . Mcclean great servant but is 32. Manning 25 but seems to be playing in the back 3 not wingback and Kenny has not used him much at all. I'd love to see Brady as the option for the next few years if he was fit think he did well there previously for us under o neill and that left foot is so potent.
May have at last found his vocation as a wingback. He has flattered to deceive throughout his career. Has all the superficial attributes of a decent player, but fails to make any consistent impact. It would be interesting to see how he gets on, but he could be a reasonable option if he establishes himself in that position. I noticed Brady was not on the bench for Bournemouth today. Is he injured (silly question) or just not yet match fit?
Getting good reviews from a very tough crowd after his previous loyalty issues. Wing back could definitely suit his natural athleticism and Pearson could be a very good defensive mentor…

O'Dowda's contract at Bristol City expires this summer. The club has an option to extend his contract by one year, but there is some speculation that he may be leaving. The club's financial difficulties, O'Dowda's injury history during last season and this, and manager Pearson's preferred team formation, are all factors involved. O'Dowda (27 this month) has made 176 appearances for City, but Pearson has indicated to the 4 players whose contracts will expire that they have the remaining few games of the season to prove their worth.
