would he have been the right man for the job if he got it?? personally i dont think he would have been. better off going for someone with a lot of experience managing an el side.

matthews is the shels assistant manager, and was approached by galway. but he decided to stay with shels. he also used to play for galway, not sure for how long though. hes quite young i think as well, maybe 37?
