I referred to it too, on an anonymous football forum. Any sign of a new centre back? Heard there's only two fit ones available for the game tonight? Bare bones already it seems.
I referred to the credibility of your contribution, your post & not you personally. As is the foot.ie rule in these exchanges. A personal attack on the human behind the Treaty Gooner badge would be of no interest or use to me chap.

Who would you say will win Div 1 so ? Of these super powers of Irish football lined up against us and all draped in only the finest preparation with squads over burdened & laden with options for all positions and formations ?
Drogheda. MAYBE UCD. Definitely not Limerick. Not with our back four.
Are you prepared to wager Sir ? I challenge you thus, £9 million.
€9 million? What am I? A group of local businessmen willing to bankroll the club?
Haha, good man.
I was hoping the Greene signing was a thaw in the gap between the very encouraging start to the off season and the silence of recent weeks, but the the statement last night about the Scottish forward signing alluded to having to cut our cloth, budget wise, so tis hard to read the angle of what's going on there.
Lost to Cobh tonight in MSC. Only following along on club's Twitter, made it sound like it was all Limerick but they just couldn't get the ball in the net. That's a concern, since I wouldn't have considered Cobh one of the teams we'd really have to worry about.

Another loss pre season or not
the Gooner does have a point about the back four, and the way some on here talk about our much vaunted midfield etc lets not forget these players played a part...a BiG part in the club getting relegated,..........however this is the first div, pure muck, we should be going the season unbeaten with this squad[we wont obviously] so i will accept winning it.....comfortably.
Nobody wants to see the team lose so I'm happy to be proven wrong when we win games. Tonight, all over them, can't score, lose 1-0. It's something we're gona see a lot of unless we sign 2 more defenders. Think about it another way, Limerick are the big dogs in Div.1, teams will set up to defend and hit us on the break. Our defenders can't cope with that, or attackers aren't good enough to unlock that.
Personally I think squad wise right now we should be winning the league even with agreeing we could do with a CB or two. My biggest concern is actually the manager, in this league with people sitting back as others have mentioned we are going to need plan b and even plan c at times in all his time with us I don't think Russell has ever shown this. Now maybe it was because of the squad he had to work with at the time and it may not be a problem with such a strong squad compared to what we are up against in this league but something worth keeping an eye on imo.
I don't want to be unfair on him either though because I definitely think the delaying in being able to finish his squad has hindered him again I still think at least one player maybe two that will be regular starters in our team this season haven't even been signed yet and he hasn't been able to get what will be our starting team if all available against UCD out together in pre season at all hopefully Saturday against Galway.

Did Sean Kelly or John OFlynn play?
They didn't start or feature, according to this anyway no - http://www.extratime.ie/fixtures/detail/28374/1/
Only one sub Garbhan Coughlan for Ross Mann.
At the time of the change Ross Mann was wide right Greene was up top Mulhall was wide left and Lee J through the centre.
When the change was made Greene went wide left Lee J went wide right Mulhall went up top and Garbhan went through the centre! Absolutely killed us for at least ten minutes.
The mind does boggle at times.
Keith Ward signed for Derry. Should have tied him down weeks ago.
Seamus Sharkey?
