Ceist would it not have made more sense to have Pats play Dundalk in the Presidents Cup rather than Cork as the winners of the League Cup ?

Presidents Cup is between winners of the League and FAI Cup though. Cork were runners up in both so it makes sense to play it between them. By any other logic you might as well have Wexford vs St Pats, just because.

Anyone with any clue about football knew it would be us V Cork.

Sure why not play Drogheda V Cabinteely as the 2 bottom teams!

It should be Dundalk v Dundalk. It would be interesting to see our u-19's and fringe players against the first team.

Limerick going with 6:30pm Saturday kick offs is an interesting one.

They done it all last year, with great crowds at the end of the season. Personaly I think matchdays should be spread out from Friday to Sunday

It's more interesting in terms of First Division crowds. That sort of thing is much easier managed in the Premier Division when crowds are bigger anyway.

People in Limerick are used to 6:30 Saturday as match day now. The only thing that will affect our crowds is how well we are doing. Vast majority of the families that have started coming don't really care which division we are in. They are just bringing the kids out for the day to watch a bit of ball and if we are winning then better again.

The other factor in that time slot would be what the late premiership game is. It doesn't tend to be that attractive though so maybe not a big one, but potentially it could.

I think that the factor which has the biggest impact on our attendances is simply if we are doing well or not. If we're winning, people turn up, but they don't turn up if we're not. Friday, Saturday, whenever, it has always been the same.

Saturday night is the established time now, and I wouldn't see any reason to change it.
