Off the bench against Huddersfield to make his debut, congratulations!
Great to see young josh barrett be involved on bench today for reading for first time
A young lad of Irish parentage from north of London who played gaelic football being fast-tracked to the under-21's. Hopefully we don't need to be worried. FAI website appears to state that his parents are both Irish-born (Dublin and Tipp).
on the bench today for first time in league this season and last season seemed to have been a stagnant one. Seems to have done slot in the 23s this season so good on him. An attacking wide /no 10 type.
Signed a new contract with Reading and gone on loan to Coventry for the rest of the season: https://www.readingfc.co.uk/news/201...try-loan-move/
New contract is good news, Stam had said earlier in the season that Barrett had slipped back but he had seen improvements in recent weeks
Josh is on the bench today for first time certainly this season. Still eligible for us at 21s. Kelly also back involved on the reading bench
Got 20 minutes today hopefully it's a good sign he might have a future there under this manager. I wonder will he come into the 21s for toulon
Is he underage? Toulon is under 20 and he is 21 in June.
I didn't know it was under 20 sorry thought it was under 21.
Can't find anything on the website about player restrictions, but there was a few players in last year's competition from 1997 - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_T...rnament_squads - so I presume he's ok?
Got a full game today. Hopefully gets full preseason to push for involvement there next season
Barrett has scored for Reading to bring them level with Plymouth.
Highlights of the game - Barrett scores Reading's first two goals - his first is really good, but his second is a stunning Coutinho-esque strike
