I actually think one of his strongest attributes is his confidence. He could play in any team and he wouldn't be afraid to demand the ball.

The best thing about him, from our point of view, is that pace is such a minimal aspect of his game. His technique and skill will not fade with time and so I could see him doing a job for us well into his mid 30s.

It seems once he's injured he piles on the weight so it's important that he stays fit for our next campaign.

He was motm yet again on Saturday. That's 3 in a row! Beating off 63 other performances.
I think there is a bit of a scared look on Reids face as O Shea is about to make a move on him. He will probably miss though.

The premier league fantasy football is my judge. They have ex-pro's deciding the top 3 players and it's usually accurate. In fairness though Reid is the type of player that fellow pro's love purely because he reads the game so well.

"Andy's different to the others I've got here," reflected Keane who took his squad to Spain last week. "I played alongside him for Ireland and, although I had to carry him in a few games, I knew Andy was good. He can handle the ball.
poor keanes back, no wonder he had to retire early enough.

With the chips that RMK was carrying around on his shoulders for the last few years of his playing career he ought to have had no problem carrying AR.
Honest! I am not a secret Tim nor a closet Sham - I really am a Seagull.

"Andy's different from the others I've got here," reflected Keane. "I played alongside him for Ireland and, although I had to carry him in a few games, I knew Andy was good. He can handle the ball. He's a laid-back type of lad who enjoys a few drinks and a sing-song and I thought that, mentally, he'd also be fine in front of our big crowds. A lot of players can't perform in front of 40,000 to 50,000 people but Andy can."

Reid has been excellent since arriving from Charlton. I can see him becoming a key player for club and country. By the way he's not fat, just big boned. And everyone knows, if your short and blocky strips make you look fat!

Andy is a great reader of the game and is also quite clued in tactically.

Apparently, he prepares well for a game beforehand. For breakfast he prefers the 4-4-2 option:

    4 Pudding
    4 Rasher
    2 Sausage
Quoting years at random since 1975

    Who's the 'big' club?

Well at least Sunderland can say we're a bigger club that Newcastle and the biggest in the North East. Unlike the skunks who think they're just as big as Man Utd, Liverpool, Real Madrid & Barcelona!
