If McGeady and Duff are injured for the upcoming matches then I'm pretty confident Trap will all up Reid. He surely remembers how awful Keogh was on the wing against Italy, so hopefully he'd call up Reid for cover.
I was looking at a Sunderland messageboard earlier, generally positive about Andy, but still a few scattered complaints:

Article from Saturdays Irish Times and i know its only some 'hack's' opinion but I think he makes some interesting points especially regarding Reid's fitness.

I thought Reid was excellent - Some unbelievable through balls, which would be the tonic for our usually afwul long ball tactics. I dont think he gave the ball away much either. I also thought Keogh had a great game. He was causing plenty of trouble.
from football365 - http://www.football365.com/story/0,1...592954,00.html -Andy Reid has been credited with an assist in every game since he was restored to the Sunderland starting line-up.
Just gave in a peach of a ball over the United defence for Jones to nod in. He's just too valuable an asset not to have in the squad. Trappa needs to stop being a stubborn old so and so and just call him up.
You've got no fans.
A good performance by Andy today at Old Trafford. His setup for the second Sunderland goal especially was him at his best. I hope Trapp is watching and considering but I still think he is more inclined to pick two defensive central midfielders. We'll keep our fingers crossed though.

Yes it it will look good if he plays a part in turning over ManU at home, he's been subbed now, also lost my stream
Sunderland down to 10 men - oh dear - 5 mins left.
Also I have to reboot when I lose the link because it screws up my internet connection! (on sopcast, anyone else get that?).

Owtch, 2:2, own goal too, I guess it looks better for Reid in a way that he was off the pitch when Man U equalised, exciting finish to the match.
There will be an enquiry as to why the exact amount of injury was played.
I missed Reid, just started watching as he was subbed.
Reid was pretty much involved in every decent thing sunderland did going forward, i think it's pretty fair to say he's almost proved himself and trap needs to bite the bullet and give him a recall, as a wild card on the bench at least he would be a major asset
Reid on current club form is about our 4th best player. Some of his football today was excellent. He made a great run for Sunderland's first goal taking a defender out of Bent's way. And his play leading up to the class pass for Sunderland second goal was a thing of beauty.
He was one of the best players on the pitch today. Trap has to take notice now with the squad for the qualifiers. Whether you agreed or disagreed with his reasons for excluding Reid twelve months back they no longer hold true now so based on Trap@s logic should be included>>>
Gibson didnt even make the bench. O'shea played well though, setup utd's first goal
O'shea actually had a hand in the tying goal too, kept it in and the like.
You know Andy should not have come off today.
And A blind man could see based on talent vs the end of the Ireland bench that he should obviously be in the squad.
Im thinking:......we get Germany in the playoffs. Andy Reid in the 90th minute to give us a road goal. Ireland Qualify for world cup. Trap hugs him. All is forgiven.
No Somos muchos pero estamos locos.
If he causes problems in the squad if he isn't being picked, you can only call him up if your going to play him. That said, if he keeps his level of performance up, that day is getting closer
