    Longford DVD hits the shelves

    Longford DVD hits the shelves

    December 13, 2004

“Memories and Heroes”, the story of Longford Town’s development from a regional First Division also-ran to one of the top clubs in the eircom League, will go on sale at a number of outlets around the county over the next few days, making the perfect Christmas gift for Longford Town supporters everywhere.

The two-hour DVD features the club’s highs and lows in recent seasons, since they earned promotion on a night in Cobh in April 2000.

All credit to one Max Power. Where would we be without him! I'll be demanding one of them for christmas stocking.

you w'ont be dissapointed thats for sure.
i put it on last night intending to watch a few mins and ended up 2 hours later having watched the whole lot.myself and the 2 lads were "bett into it".

"the boys" were wondering where they could get the soundtrack as they thought it was kicking.

    Thumbs up Dvd

Well done Max. Watched it all and it brought back some memories! Made me realise how far this club has progressed in such a short space of time. Eric Lavine and Seanie Francis will go down as LTFC legends. Memories and Heroes is a fitting title! On another note, you certainly put all your DJ music to use!

Got the DVD over the weekend. Brought back plenty of memories, including a fantastic night in Cobh and a hairy night in Finn Park.

Put a pic of the cover up on the Town site. Supporters' Club draw tomorrow night if you're in Longford and don't forget to get your season ticket before the end of December.

    i just wamt to add.

there are two reasons why i put this dvd together

    1. simple, to make money for the club, i don't make a cent, every 25 euro that is spent goes to LTFC and not to me. we are a small club and need tp produce ideas like this to keep the coffers full so we can move forward.

    2. to show us all how lucky we are, just think back ( if you remember) going to abbeycarton to a game with 20 people and a hill of a pitch. To where we are today that is an amazing journey and i felt it had to be recorded for all to see and be thankful for.

so i ask you all to enjoy, BUT, when the season starts, get behind the lads on the pitch and off it. an awful lot of work goes into the club on a daily basis by a few people and i think its time more of us got involved and shared the burden, its all well and good comin on this message board and $hitin out of yee bout this, that and the other....but how many get involved and help out, very few.......

so put some of the energy you have into helpin the club and less into moaning and whinging here.......

sorry for the rant, but i needed to say that.

btw i know i talk $hite and moan also......before anyone else mentions it

Yeah very well put Max and i agree with you fully. There are some people on this MB that will never be happy so to everyone reading this message why not do something constructive for a change and drag more of your friends and family out to Flancare because in the long run it benefits us all and to those with kids why not bring them aswell and give them heroes they can look up to and meet in person instead of those drama queens acrooss the water.A group of young lads were playing footie at the side of my house the other day and most of them were wearing town jerseys and calling themselves after town players. Now that's where you really see how far the club has come and long may it continue. We have something we can all be proud of right in our backyard so lets make the most of it.

Fair play Max, from what I've seen of it great production. Also the best delivery of any internet order I've made

You can't beat personal service alright, we've sold around 300 copies so far which is a great boost for off season coffers so credit is definitely due to max, but easy on the praise everyone or he'll be insufferable from now on
