That attacking line up would look a million mile better if the 4th forward was Padraig Amond.
3 strikers????
Geysir talking sh1te as usual and the "sauces" and voices in his head
Westwood in Keane too.

Glad Westwood made it. Rest of the calls marginal enough. Meyler probably pips Gibson as he's a bit more versatile.
And all over a third-choice keeper too. Although I'd like to think Westwood is way, way ahead Given but I'm fearful.
Murphy and McGeady are lucky guys, though at least McGeady looked a bit better in the second half. I was nay too impressed with Gibson (and he looks really unfit) but I think Quinn and Meyler is one samey midfielder too many.
To be honest, I'm not convinced any of these players are going to have much bearing on how our Euros goes. From tonight's starting 11, Clark, Hendrick and maybe Ward, if we need Brady to play further forward, will be having an impact.
McCarthy has been underwhelming in green and coming off a poor season but after seeing out midfielders tonight, and Arter drop out, I'm relieved to see he made it. Hopefully he gets fit and stays fit.
Ou-est le Centre George Pompidou?
Out of the attacking players Long, Hoolahan and McClean are the only ones who inspire much faith. Walters at a stretch.
Would like to see Ward start at full back on the back of another solid performance and Brady pushed further forward.
Good to see Westwood included. Hopefully Keane can roll back the clock if he comes off the bench but I haven't seen any evidence he can do it recently.
Dread Murphy getting on that pitch.
Meyler very lucky Arter got injured.
McGeady lucky we don't really have an alternative & MON loves him.
Murphy should do the lotto in the morning.
I meant is obviously.:P
Walters and McClean have more chance playing as a striker in Euros than either Murphy or Keane.
This whole squad thing is people getting annoyed about which players get to hang round the Irish hotel for 3 weeks. Waste of time worrying about who our unused subs will be.
In saying that O'Dowda should have gone as a learning experience.
I would take Pilkington over McGeady. Can double up as another forward - although he wasn't too impressive against Slovakia. Would also fancy Pilkington more to score a goal or deliver an incisive pass.
Also thought Hayes had done enough to deserve another chance in these games. More so than someone like O'Kane.
Gibson & McGoldrick > Meyler & Murphy for me.
It's great Westwood is going but he's likely going as 3rd choice which is ridiculous.
Did Westwood always know he was going? If we're going to get forensic, he's rocking a humongous grin in the squad release picture.
Ou-est le Centre George Pompidou?
Heartless celebration over Forde missing out, at least you could have waited until he left the building.
Obviously Westwood said mea culpa and O'Neill was faith bound to forgive him, Westwood is a good catholic boy after all and gained a last ditch reprieve.
This looks to be the weakest squad we have ever sent to a Finals but that can also depends on how O'Neill sets them up. The team has been hit and miss since the play offs (mostly miss), much remains to be seen.
Pilkington, Doyle and even O'Dowda more deserving of places than Murphy, McGeady and Meyler. Better players, simples.
Clark and Ward did well tonight I thought. Clark a real threat in the air. Felt for Gibson, I like what he tried to do tonight. I'd be surprised if more than 15 or 16 players get on the pitch in June.
I can see Westwood starting. I felt in real time that MON was putting Forde on as a gesture. Watched tha game on catch up as got stuck at work.

The fact that Doyle remained for the Colorado game at the weekend, do you think it's because he was told that he was unlikely to make the final 23? Or did he fail to make the final 23 because he remained in Colorado. The former for me.
