Is that a 4 4 1 1?
Good thinking to play Hoolahan, if he can only start one game then let it be the first game.
That was how is was described on the radio. I'm not even sure what station it was to be honest but I'm going to assume it was RTÉ as they had someone at the ground.
I trust O'Neill at this stage. Nobody on here suggested playing 2 up front with a diamond midfield against Germany but it worked a treat. He's earned a bit of trust there.
Edit. I was back out in the car there. Turns out it was Today FM

Looks a 4-3-2-1 to me. Brady and Hoolahan will sit in behind Murphy.
Quietly confident that this'll be a 2-1, if not 3-1 win for Ireland. Bosnia are no great shakes and they're likely over-confident.

Murphy is extremely slow......does anyone know who was named on the bench?
Good luck, we're all counting on you!

Stephen Ward should be subbed off at half time.......he looks totally outclassed here. Brady could drop back and McGeady could come on and play left wing.
Midfield not exactly pulling their weight I think, even if BH aren't as good as they are sometimes made out to me. Can't see Ireland getting a goal playing like this, they have no ideas in the final third, Murphy might as well be brought off for another defender.

Pretty dire stuff all round, but one of these great teams will grace the finals
Hoolahan might as well have saved his energy for Monday. It's easy to understand why Norwich leave him out away to the big teams. He can't do too much when we've no proper possession and nobody else is capable of retaining the ball. The pitch looks heavy and is generally bad which isn't helping, but overall that might suit us more than then. We're relatively comfortable but only a kick away from a really bad result because it looks highly unlikely that we could nick something ourselves.

That was a brutal half of football. Is it me or does the pitch seem very slippy? Is it an artificial pitch?
Not too disappointed in the performance of the 11 on the pitch as it limits my expectations. But those three have been poor.
I honestly think a switch to 4-4-2 and we could take them. We've contained them quite well. Keane for Wes and McGeady for Ward maybe. Whelan and McCarthy sit deep. Not gonna happen anyway!
See youse in a bit! COYBIG!!!
If this fog keeps thickening up at this rate I'm not sure it'll get to the 90

I had the stream muted at start of 2nd half, thought that must have been a hell of a flare! How bad can it get before the ref calls for a pause?
