Not likely Dinger!
MSL Div1, were Prem up to two/three years ago, couldn't field a strong team so disbanded it for a year or two. Now re-entered at Div 1 level, should win that and come back up to the Prem.Originally Posted by plasticpitch

the goalkeeper that played for pike is marty whelan eire og aswell he never played for avenue but was an excellent goalkeeper underage! gary flynn also signed for em as far as i know but he is crocked with injuries so dunno how much use they will get out of him!

Am I halucinating or were we not told that there would be no fixtures on long weekends????The first one that comes up and there are fixtures down for Monday//whaqt is going on???
any results???
No Shelbourne you are quite right,in fact the chairman said that all bank holidays would be free and be known as family weekends, only problem was no one told the fixtures secretary.........Originally Posted by shelbourne1904

typical of the forever changing goalposts in the clare league, just when you think things are improving.....as a player with a family my major problem is the fact that a league can fix games on a bank holiday monday rather than a Sunday. What is the thinking behind that? Is it to suit the ref's, cause it does no favours to any player I can think of. Its about time a bit of common sense was used.Originally Posted by BallBreaker

you are only a loser when you stop trying. Playing sport does not build character, it reveals it.

Gents does anyone know when the oscar traynor' s will be playing their firse game??
As far as I'm aware they got a walkover last Sunday. I know they did not play but I think one of the Cork Leagues pulled out.Originally Posted by plasticpitch
I think the next game is down for November 26th a Saturday. They are hoping to play the 3rd group game in December sometime but its likely to be early next year.
Anyone confirm this?![]()
All games off at the weekend with the exception of FAI, Munster Junior, FAI Youths and Schoolboy Cup games.
Oscar Traynors play Hill Celtic next Tues night the 8th of November in a friendly and play on the 19th of November (not 26th) in the 1st game...Originally Posted by CousinSylDolan

i wonder will the big game this weekend go ahead at stadio fairgreeno or will it's pond like features force it to b played in Digifone. Will be a cracking game. neither team have a hope of winning FAI but this is a definite cup final!!! I think that avenue will have too much going forward for 'tage. They haven't really been tested at the back this year(from the games i've seen)!!
Newtown vs St. Brendans has been switched to "Dodgyphone Park" I hear...
I hope Newtown is not waterlogged as bad as it was last time, when Stony and the boys were pictured in the paper 2 and a half foot deep in water in their wellies...![]()
