Going against my instincts, Both Olympic teams could be in their respective playoff games!!! Are these games played on the same weekend?Originally Posted by leftie

So Manus yourselves and Ennistymon for the other two promotion places! You look favourites to me on the table just printed here.Originally Posted by leftie
Perhaps but we've Ennistymon & Kilkee in 2 of our last 3 games. It will be very tight.Originally Posted by MadMick
This was done last year, the champion were approached, they don't care about soccer only gaa,but the blame has to be the league's,they have not done enough to promote soccer especially after winning the oscar traynor last year.but i can't agree with your other point, any club that has no facilities have only themselves to blame, loads of clubs have or are getting some kind of facilities,i know i'll be shot here but the is aimed at the Ennis clubs, who moan about the fairgreen, these clubs are in existance for decades and instead of robbing players from one another should have been building for the future.St Pats a Gaa stonghold are in the process of having their own facilities and this mainly down to Dingle. The Ennis contingent want it all done for them, for nothing(Sorry Clifford and i want back an honest reply)Originally Posted by plasticpitch

Anyway my tke on it is its the Fixtures secretary's decision when these playoff games are played.
Generally when a lg is fully finished the playoff would take place. Of course for the prem/1st playoff to take place the premier and the 1st divions would have to be fully finished and so on down the leagues.
Lydon plays these games as soon as he gets the oppurtunity so they are not necessarliy on the same weekend.
That was fairly funny allright. Playing away & next thing ther's a scrap breaking out on the Olympic bench between one of the subs & the manager.Originally Posted by Fredred
Even Julian spotted it & had to go over & calm things down.
Speaking of Julian we can't have this guy reffing us again.
He's a joke.
While Olympic deserved to win the game Julian didn't do us any favours in a game which Oly will be glad they got through unscathed.
His motto is
"I won't be giving any free kicks no matter what cause I'm from Tulla & you're from Kilkishen"
Anyway best of luck to Oly B in getting promoted.
In my opinion they are the best side in Div 3 at the moment.
Was the score not Newtown 1 Manus 2 on 13/03/05??Originally Posted by hacker
Yes it was, what he meant to write was Manus 1 Newtown 4. The game was played in Manus.Originally Posted by Prem Rep!
well ball breaker... i know lifford are devolping there own ground but in fairness clubs are really dependant on generosity of past players to have their own ground(donated land) . but i take your point ambition is lacking with clubs but maybe in our lifetime we will have good facilites at all clubs along with the traditional smell of **** from all well used dressing rooms...Originally Posted by BallBreaker
we played in cooke park v st micheals last year... they even have a stand but they are at a level that all clare clubs dream about... you could also look at pike rvs.... where has it all gone wrong ???![]()
never knew about Lifford so fairplay to them and it hasn't all gone wrong we are just way behind everyone else.if i am honest Clare soccer is at a really poor level, this includes the way it's ran and also referees.Clubs just haven't thought about the future. The Ennis clubs are waiting for this new place to open where they will rent out pitches, does anyone know anything about the Newtown/Park amalgamation.Originally Posted by plasticpitch

My sources tell me this has fallen apart, could not decide on key issues, so they have called it a day.Originally Posted by BallBreaker

Best two players I've seen this year.............
lifford/oldtown have the old halting site out in drumcliffe, should be ready for next year. not hard for them in view of the fact that they received a nice package to vacate our lady's pitch, sqatters rights and all that. wonder if pike and avenue have those rights. its ok for st. pats when they got the field for 1 euro off daly. in fairness to dingle his a one man band and hats off to that man for his massive effort. newmarket were the same 1 pound for the field. offer a field to any ennis team and your hand will be snapped off. down the years avenue/pike (will not include tage as they don't even own goalposts) have offered to improve pitch and were told they would be evicted if they touched it by the council. was bad enough avenue playing in ruan but how embarrising to be changing in a tayto box???????? i know that avenue have been actively seeking a pitch for the last no. of years and only 3 months ago viewed 6 acres but asking price was €250,000. not possible. in 3 years avenue will have a pitch or two with dressing rooms. avenues/pike main gripe is how are teams expected to play football in a piece of ****. pike/avenue dont even train on the main pitch, so they can keep it for games then u see muppets from kimaley, lifford, clare juniors lissycasey christ even toomevara trained on it before all-ireland semi.Originally Posted by BallBreaker
lees road is open next year so you will be able to bring your shampoo and towel and enjoy the townie facilities free of charge. actually it costs €60 per adult team and €30 per underage. u get nothing for nothing!!!!!!!
The above is all opinion and based on personal experience. Unless stated otherwise it is not a dig at anybody, well probably none of you lot.
clare soccer is brutal at the moment. people running it should not be biased and have other interests. they should be promoting all clubs. one goal one objective. not one rule for you and hey no problem we'll sort that out for you cous etc. take 2 steps forward then 5 back. wonder why half of clares best players fecked off to limerick, says enough?????? can someone pass this website to the clare league. it might give them an insight to soccer players who give a **** and they might learn a thing or twoOriginally Posted by BallBreaker
