I think you should be able to play for whatever country you like.
After all, you have people playing for Chelsea who are not Londoners.

How would propose this to work? Transfer system?
Will it not just end up the same as club football?
No-one likes us, we don't care.

Just thinking about this and no offence but would this have anything to do with the fact that your club is not Irish therefore you do not see a conflict?
You see yourself as Irish and this is your number 1 priority but your team is not so there is a clear distinction in your eyes between the 2, where as in the EL fans eyes there is not the same differentiation.
    Just a thought.

    No offence taken.
Speaking as someone who has had difficulty remembering his name when going into a football ground this is very deep, but seeing as I follow a team based in Glasgow the whole debate is wrapped up in how, as a 2ndG, I see the identity of that club. And as this ground has been gone over numouous times, I ain't even attempting to look at this again.
Where am I now? I'm over here,
I've got those empty pockets and I can't afford a beer.

Love my clubs-amazingly passionate; their results can make me happy as or depressed! But Ireland takes precedance-there's something a lot different about supporting yours country! Eireann all the way!

Didn't realise you supported that lot as well.
In my post I was referring to your obvious devotion to those from North London and the Potteries.
And I agree that other ground has been gone over a trillion times and thanks for not going there.

well, it says Eire/Ireland on the cover of me passport (not the Peoples' Republic of Bulgaria ) so its plastic Paddy, gravy stains, ole, ole, all the accustomary Paddy whackery stuff, Selthick shirts and Larry Leprechaun nonsense all de way.

What is with our Munster neighbours, are they planning to do 'a Slovenia' and seceede from the Irish Republic.

I can see it now, Fat as el Presidente, the hordes of the unwashed, grovelling at his feet, the Horsehoe as the seat of government....... the Peoples' Republic of Cawwwk.

Love it, but dont start the revolution without me.

We'll strike us a bargain then, Razor. You stop certain of your fellow Corconians spouting ****e, and we'll leave the Celtic references alone. Deal?
