That was just a guess based on someone saying €15k was a season's salary. I'd say it's not far off an average Premier Division wage to be honest. We had some players on €250 or so in the First Division and that was before we were properly challenging for promotion. There's still money to be made playing LOI.
Went up to Saratoga, where my horse naturally won.
Gary Shaw stats 2012-2015
2012 Appearances 23 Goals 5
2013 Appearances 32 Goals 3
2014 Appearances 35 Goals 17
2015 Appearances 39 Goals 7
Total Appearances 129 Goals 32
goals per game ratio:0.24
In earlier years for the first two seasons it was 0.14 goals per game ratio. It is a disappointin return for him all right. but his last two seasons were productive in terms of goals!
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
That would be an average wage at Longford with expenses including or possibly on top of that. Considering the amount of matches, 3-4 times training per week, travelling, hourly it's isn't anything outrageous. I don't how some players in this league particularly in the first division do it all just for expenses!
The Leinster Senior League needs a strong Bohemians
In a nutshell this is What Blues manager Roddy Collins said today.
1 A company has agreed to financially back Waterford United for next three years. Company and amount to be announced shortly.
2. All money owed to player's to be paid this weekend. Total is 350 Euro.
3. Two companies to subsidize two players.
4. Two companies to give part-time jobs to two players.
5. It's hoped to have a shop opened this weekend to sell new kit.
6. Willo McDonagh. Roddy Collins 'Jnr signed. Talks with Kevin Burns and Brian Nolan at advanced stage.
7. Three of four trial player's expected to be signed. A top class striker also coming when he gets paid by his last club.
8. Roddy admitted he is ''working with a small pool of people to put things in order''
9. This is the worrying point. He said it's up to the board to deal with historical debt ie to FAI. It's not his concern. What he is doing is for the players who will sign.
Take the bones out of those points.
Rovers interested in gearoid morrissey. Cork talking to him as we speak.
Jesus, Cork will have more on the bench than they'll have in the stands if they don't stop. I suppose they need a big squad in case they progress to the later stages of the Munster Senior Cup
Ha ha. Five year deal with roddy. .. you jealous about our support avvenalaf.
Natural progression for Caulfield from last season - play two goalkeepers.
Killian Brennan signing for Rovers
John Sullivan ex Bray and a load of other clubs signs for Galway. Any good?
He was with Dundak under Kenny's first season, 2013, right back, he's not a bad player, scored a few crucial goals that year, I think one v Pats sticks out, lacked concentration in some other big games, I'd rate him mid table PD player, but can be solid enough.
He wasn't offered a contract for 2014, as Kenny got Gannon in to replace him. I think he may have dropped out of the league for a year around then, no other club came in for him, he did ok at Bray last year though, and he's definitely a good player for Galway, should do a good job for you.

#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), only Irish club to win a game / points in Europa League Group Stage (2016).
He was excellent for Dundalk in 2013, the year we finished second to St. Pats.
He is a fitness nut and is currently doing a pre pre-season with Richie Towell under the guidance of Dundalk's s & c coach.
He'll give you 110%. He may lack pace but will add strength and solidity to your team.
Thanks for that. Sounds like a good signing for us.
