There is a vine or another short video on line, Limerick fans applauding Dundalk players off and singing 'that's why your champions'
Yep.........
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), first Irish club to win points in a group stage in Europe (2016).
It may have been in response to Dundalk fans singing that they hoped we stay up - I'm not sure which chant came first.
Fans showing respect towards their opponents. It is the end of football, I tell you.
I was surprised to see so many limerick fans applauding dundalk, don't think I could have done it after a defeat that left my team bottom but also don't think there's anything wrong with it. I expect the same from Rovers fans in 2 weeks
Hope limerick stay up myself thought they were excellent at times, showed real calm and composure for a team desperate for points
I just felt the fella telling me I should kill myself over it was a bit much, I didn't even sing the thing ya can see me in the video just clapping.
Absolutely fair game. In the good old days before the PC brigade we'd give them a good clip as well.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.
Did anyone else notice the steward removing the ball boys from in front of the Dundalk crowd after the Limerick goal, taking their jackets and putting them into the main stand? They went a bit mad celebrating the Limerick goal and dancing for a couple of minutes in front of us. Two other ball boys were put in their place. A humorous moment.
considering the silence on our forum which I find shocking I think we are in serious bother! its very bad when a local journo says it to you at half time that TC has to go! Considering the amount of experienced players that were playing last night the lack of response from them was disgraceful. the only time Pat Sullivan made a comment on the pitch was when we had a go at him towards the end of the game. he suddenly came to life and said something smart to us! Rice yet again was found wanting last night.
Lookin at our last four games I just cant see where we can get a win from. I think we will 100% be in the playoffs and I pray we will not play Harps in the playoff final as they will beat us and they are comin into form!
For a cup semi final I am not too bothered about being thrashed in Oriel!
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
The team that played Dundalk last night showed six changes from the team that played up in Oriel, five of them significant ones.
Only a complete idiot would try to draw parallels.
If we go down (and if we don't beat Galway we will go down) we will deserve it. Or more specifically Pat O'Sullivan will deserve it for his antics at the start of the year. He was quick enough to take all the plaudits when going well if we're relegated he'll have to take it on the chin because it will be his fault. Problem with throwing all your toys out of your pram is sometimes some of them break.
On the chant last night I'm not one given over to hyperbole so believe me when I say I'm convinced that the people who cheered dundalk off last night should be dragged from their beds and shot. My toes still haven't uncurled.

I'd have rathered we were caught up in another banning debacle or maybe even some light racism or something possibly some fisticuffs. Anything other than what did happen.
Down with this sort of thing. And if any of you fookers are planning any 'gaurd of honour' bull between now and the end of the season forget it. It will be interesting to see what kind of reaction we get in Tallaght in a couple of weeks though, if we seal the deal.
